To make a noun plural there are 4 rules:
Per volgere un nome al plurale ci sono 4 regole:
1) If the noun ends in 'ch' 'sh' 's' 'x' 'z' at the end ADD 'ES' at the end of the word.
1) Se il nome/sostantivo finisce con 'ch' 'sh' 's' 'x' 'z' alla fine aggiungi 'ES' alla fine della parola.
Example/Esempio:church (chiesa) churches (chiese).
2) If the noun ends in 'Y' take off the 'Y' and add 'IES' at the end of the word.
2) Se il nome/sostantivo finisce con 'Y' togli 'Y' e aggiungi 'IES' alla fine della parola.
Example/Esempio: lady (donna) ladies (donne).
3) If the noun ends in 'F' take off the 'F' and add 'VES' at the end of the word.
3) Se il nome/sostantivo finisce con 'f', togli 'f' e aggiungi 'VES' alla fine della parola.
Example/Esempio: loaf (pagnotta) loaves (pagnotte).
4) If they don't end in these letters, simply add 'S' at the end of the word.
4) Se non finiscono con queste lettere, aggiungi 'S' alla fine della parola.
Example/Esempio: shoe (scarpa) shoes (scarpe).
