Most people are interested in the unexplained and a lot of people have had a strange unexplained experience in their life or they know someone else who has. Science can't explain everything yet.

The first situation happened to a woman who lives in Kent in the South of England in 1995. Her name is Claire. She hadn't worked for about 4 years because she had a lot of pain in her back. She went to various doctors and hospitals but they couldn't help her. She thought she would never work again.

One night she went to bed as usual. She woke in the middle of the night and saw a ghostly woman at the bottom of her bed.  She was amazed to see this and more than a little frightened. The ghost made gestures to tell her not to be afraid and to sleep. Claire went back to sleep. In the morning when she woke, she felt no back pain at all. Her back was completely cured! She went for a job interview for 'Eurotunnel' the train company that travels under the sea between Folkestone in England and Calais in France and got the job. She has never had problems with her back since that night.

The second experience also happened at night to a young lady called Julie.  It was May 1989. An ordinary night. Above Julie's bed, were 3 shelves filled with books, ornaments and a large picture of a Chinese man pulling a rickshaw. The picture was an unusual, extremely heavy picture made with long nails and coloured string around the nails to make a picture.

Julie went to bed one night but couldn't sleep. She kept hearing her own voice in her head telling her the shelves were going to fall down. She ignored it thinking she was mad, after all, the shelves had been there for years! But the voice in her head wouldn't stop. It kept saying again and again that the shelves were going to fall down and that she must move! Julie tossed and turned until about 3 o'clock in the morning. She was very tired by this time and the voice in her head was still saying the shelves were going to fall down, so she moved to the bottom of the bed and curled up into a ball and fell asleep. The next thing she knew was a thud on the bed which woke her. The picture of the Chinese man and rickshaw had fallen down and was face down with the nails sticking into the pillow!!

Strangely when Julie woke up she wasn't frightened at all. She felt very calm and went straight back to sleep. She truly believes someone was looking after her that night.

Last but not least, the third strange but true experience happened in London in 1980. Trudy used to use the underground to go to work. She had a choice of 2 routes, she always chose the longer route at night because she didn't have to change trains, the short route meant that she had to change and walk through a dimly lit tunnel where there were tramps, drunks and beggars. She didn't even like walking there during the day because they would always shout, ask for money or be offensive but at night it could be very dangerous.

One night after work she caught the wrong train by mistake. When she realised what she'd done she panicked but it was too late to catch the direct train now. The last one was leaving in 5 minutes. She had no choice but to change trains and walk through the tunnel.

When she got to the tunnel a very tall lady appeared and walked near Trudy while she walked through. Not one beggar, tramp or drunk said anything. Nothing... - it was as though they couldn't 'see' her. Trudy thought it was very strange, impossible even, especially as they were the only two people walking in the tunnel. Even stranger when she came out of the tunnel to walk up the stairs the tall lady completely disappeared. There was only one way out so impossible for her to disappear but even though she looked for her on her way out of the station she never saw the lady again.
